Hacker is among the TOP25 cybersecurity experts in Europe
Taking advantage of the launch of the Center for Citizen Cybersecurity (CCC), Marlon Molina, a computer engineer and cybersecurity expert, presented the general management of the Center, which will be in charge of Marlon Molina, who took the opportunity to present the 2026 roadmap.
Marlon Molina has more than three decades working in education and the most relevant topics in technology. He has worked and collaborated professionally in multinational companies such as IDG Communications (Computerworld), Microsoft, Intergraph, and educational institutions.
In 2023 he received the Medalla al Mérito de la Ciberdefensa, the official medal of the Kingdom of Spain, and the Exibed medal for Educational Excellence in Ibero-America in 2015. In 2018 Influencers Magazine named him as the top influencer of Artificial Intelligence, and a year later Cherwell included him in the Top 10 influencers of Digital Transformation in Europe. In 2025 MCPRO included him in LinkedIn’s TOP25 Spanish language influencers in technology.
He currently serves as director of the Cybersecurity Lab of the Madrid Capital Fintech Cluster and international vice president of Smart Campus. He plays several roles in organizations such as vice president of the Center for Innovation in Accessible Technologies (CINTAC), head of cyber intelligence at the Choiseul Institute, and academic activities as a researcher at the Legal Tech Lab of the University of Valencia, professor at the EAE Business School, and member of the Board of the Master of Embedded Software at the Polytechnic University of Madrid.

Between 2016 and 2018 he directed the Chair of Digital Transformation at the Universidad a Distancia de Madrid, and participated as an evaluator of postgraduate programs for the Community of Madrid.
In 2017 he was the main responsible for the Real Academia Española to accept a second acceptance in the term “hacker” accepting that it is not just a person with criminal purposes, but an expert in computer science. He writes in different media, participates in podcasts, radio programs, and television, which has led him to be known as a popularizer and receive several professional awards.
It is currently producing ALERT The Series, a television program dedicated to cybersecurity, which has currently screened in more than 15 universities, more than 50 high schools, in 5 countries. In the education program, more than 5,000 students have been impacted with the education program, involving teaching staff, parents and parents.
ALERT The series has received three awards in Spain:
- Best Cybersecurity Project 2025, awarded by the Association of Experts in New Technologies (PETEC).
- Social Impact Project 2025, awarded by TOP Humans Leaders
- Best Innovative Education Project, awarded by Excelencia Educativa
The ALERT program is part of the CCC’s roadmap that will support education with a special focus on high school and college students.
