This fourth issue of the GPS UNICARIBE journal is timed for the start of the new 2026–2027 school year. It brings together articles and readings that address the challenges facing Dominican education, its connection to productivity and Meta 2036, along with reflections by Paulo Freire, Rudolf Steiner, Francesco Tonucci, Mar Romera, and Philippe Meirieu on the teaching profession, learning, and the significance of beginning a new school year. The issue is rounded out with a human and literary perspective on the opportunities that education can open up in people’s lives.
