On March 19, 2025, the University of the Caribbean (UNICARIBE) held the conference “A Pragmatic Approach to the Design of University Internationalization”, given by Prof. José Manuel Páez Borrallo, an expert in university internationalization.
The event was an enriching encounter in which Prof. Paez shared his experience and knowledge on how universities can strengthen their international projection, reflect and deepen their processes and strategies, and promote the collaboration and exchange of students, faculty and administrative staff with other universities and international organizations, thus raising academic quality and institutional competitiveness.
In recent years, internationalization has become one of the great challenges of higher education, becoming even more relevant in an increasingly globalized and digitalized world.
The activity was led by the rector, Dr. Emilio Mínguez, who thanked Prof. José Manuel Páez for his attendance and participation, and reiterated the institution’s commitment to academic excellence and the integral formation of students. He also highlighted UNICARIBE’s broad educational offerings, which include technical programs, undergraduate and graduate degrees in areas of high labor demand and great social impact.
Also present were deans, career directors, administrative staff, teachers and students, all committed to academic excellence and comprehensive training. Undoubtedly, these meetings are fundamental to continue advancing in education and preparing students for the challenges of the future.
