The director of UNICARIBE’s Center for Citizen Cybersecurity (CCC), Marlon Molina, took part in an institutional meeting held at the Senate of the Republic with Spain’s ambassador to the Dominican Republic, Lorea Arribalzaga.

The meeting was led by the president of the Senate of the Republic, Ricardo de los Santos, who welcomed the Spanish diplomatic representative to his office to discuss issues of mutual interest and opportunities for cooperation between Spain and the Dominican Republic.

During the meeting, participants discussed the importance of continuing to strengthen the exchange of experiences and knowledge in areas related to digital transformation and cybersecurity—a field that requires ever-greater coordination among public institutions, the academic community, specialists, and international cooperation organizations.

Molina highlighted the importance of creating opportunities for dialogue that bring international experiences to the Dominican ecosystem and continue to promote a vision of cybersecurity that takes into account institutions, businesses, and the general public alike.

The Center for Citizen Cybersecurity’s participation is part of its efforts to promote awareness, training, and collaboration among the various stakeholders involved in building a safer digital environment in the Dominican Republic.
