GPS UNICARIBE was created as an expression of the intellectual, academic, and public commitment of the Universidad del Caribe (UNICARIBE). This digital journal aims to serve as a compass for reflecting on the country and the world through the lens of academic responsibility, freedom of thought, and a vision for the future.

UNICARIBE views the university as much more than just an institution of higher learning. It conceives of it as a vibrant community of knowledge, teachers, students, professionals, and ideas that engage in dialogue, challenge one another, and help push the boundaries of what is possible. Based on this conviction, this publication provides a monthly, diverse, and specialized forum for analyzing the major challenges facing the Dominican Republic and contemporary society.

In times of uncertainty, rapid technological advancement, and global transformations, GPS UNICARIBE aims to offer structured analysis, rigorous assessments, and proposals that serve the public interest. Its pages bring together academics, researchers, business leaders, public officials, intellectuals, and international voices.
