The Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Technology (MESCyT) has inaugurated the call for National Scholarships 2025, offering 8,000 funding opportunities in 48 of the country’s 56 universities. With a focus on STEAM areas -Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics- this initiative aims to boost national development and promote equity in access to higher education, benefiting approximately 622 academic programs at levels ranging from higher technical to doctoral.

Among the participating institutions is the University of the Caribbean (UNICARIBE), which joins the effort to train highly qualified professionals in STEAM areas, in this version of the National Scholarship program, the careers benefited in UNICARIBE are:

  • Bachelor’s degree in hospitality and tourism
  • Bachelor’s degree in educational psychology
  • Bachelor’s degree in municipal administration
  • Software Engineering
  • Cybersecurity Engineering
  • Data and Organizational Intelligence Engineering
  • Network and Telecommunications Engineering
  • Bachelor’s degree in advertising
  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology
  • Bachelor’s degree in aeronautical management
  • Higher technician in port administration
  • Higher technician in municipal administration
  • Bachelor’s degree in digital communication
  • Bachelor’s degree in journalism and social networks
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Management and Renewable Energies
  • Master’s Degree in Cybersecurity
  • Master’s Degree in Information and Communication Technology
  • Master’s Degree in Municipal Management
  • Diploma in management and women’s leadership
  • University master’s degree in political communication and digital marketing

This variety of options will allow students to access cutting-edge training, adapted to the demands of the labor market and the country’s scientific progress.

Requirements and Application Process:

Those interested in applying for the scholarships must meet the following requirements:

  • Be Dominican citizens.
  • Have a minimum grade point average of 80 points on a scale of 0 to 100, or three to four in the case of higher technical and undergraduate programs.
  • Complete the online form through the official portal Beca Tu Futuro, making sure to fill out all the required fields correctly.
