April 14, 2025, Santo Domingo – In a significant step towards strengthening academic and professional training in the field of information technology and security, ISACA and the University of the Caribbean (UNICARIBE) signed a collaboration agreement on April 14. This agreement seeks to establish the basis for a relationship that favors the development of knowledge, skills and capabilities in various specialized areas, such as assurance, governance and information technology security.
Through this agreement, both institutions commit to offer internationally recognized training and certification programs in key areas such as Assurance/Audit (CISA), Security (CISM), Governance (CGEIT) and Risk (CRISC), Information Privacy (CDPSE) and Cybersecurity (CSX), among other disciplines related to Information Technologies and Systems.
In addition, UNICARIBE students will benefit from 10% discounts in the preparation programs to obtain the certifications granted by ISACA Global, as well as access to free lectures organized by the institution.
The signing of the agreement took place in a ceremony led by the president of ISACASDC, Rosa Damaris Díaz, and the rector of UNICARIBE, Dr. Emilio Mínguez, with the prominent participation of the Vice Rector of Digital Transformation and Director of the School of Technology, Mtro. Gary O. Cabrera Columna.
This agreement represents a significant advance in the training of future technology professionals, preparing them to face the challenges of the sector with the best tools and certifications recognized globally.
