The marketing of professional sports is one of the most exciting activities and business projection among the youth inspired by the development of physical abilities and profession.
Sports activities, athletes and teams are transformed into commercial products designed to generate economic benefits. Turning sport into an economic, profitable and attractive activity through strategies such as the sale of broadcasting rights, sponsorship, advertising and official products, but also the commercialization of athletes. This phenomenon has turned top-level sport into a massive global industry, supported by marketing and the exploitation of image rights.

In an atmosphere of dialogue UNICARIBE developed these topics in order to implement educational actions that allow the academic training of athletes connecting the classroom with the major leagues.
Chema Sánchez, global commercial director of the Miami Marlins, shared with the student community the business and marketing strategies that drive the MLB.

This high-level initiative is part of our Academic Project for the Sports Industry, a strategic alliance that we developed in conjunction with the National Baseball Commissioner’s Office to professionalize and internationalize sports management in the Dominican Republic.
