Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. – In an event that exalts the University of the Caribbean (UNICARIBE) and reaffirms its commitment to scientific research, four professors of this university were recognized as Researchers in the National Research Career (CNI), a distinction granted by the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Technology (MESCyT).

The teachers who joined the CNI are: César Robles (Bachelor in Hospitality and Tourism), Julián Peña (Environmental Management and Renewable Energies), Emil Moquete (Business Administration) and Rafael David Sánchez (International Relations).

This recognition highlights the academic and scientific trajectory of the professors and reflects UNICARIBE’s commitment to the generation of knowledge in strategic areas for the sustainable development, innovation and technological advancement of the Dominican Republic. It also strengthens the institutional projection of the university as a reference in the training of professionals committed to applied research.

The university authorities emphasized that this achievement is the result of the dedication, constant work and passion for research that characterizes its professors. They also pointed out that these four academics join the researchers already recognized in previous calls, among them Dr. Clara Tapia, Vice Rector of Graduate Studies, and Dr. Rafael Núñez, Vice Rector of Research.

The National Research Career not only validates the excellence of researchers, but also opens new opportunities for collaboration in national and international scientific projects, contributing to the strengthening of the research ecosystem in the country.
