Santo Domingo, D.N. – Universidad del Caribe (UNICARIBE), through its Office of Student Services, held a strategic meeting in the Graduate Studies Building with the aim of strengthening institutional ties and promoting greater employment opportunities for its graduates and current students.
During the event, the upgraded UNIEMPLEO technology platform was officially unveiled, along with the consolidation of the UNICARIBE Alumni Community, an initiative aimed at fostering connections between the university, its graduates, and the business sector.
The ceremony was presided over by Dr. Sócrates Aguasvivas Hoepelman, Vice President for Student Services, who emphasized that, for the institution, the graduation process marks the beginning of a strategic and ongoing relationship with its graduates.
“For UNICARIBE, graduation does not mean a severing of ties, but rather a transition toward an ongoing partnership that allows us to support our graduates throughout their working lives,” said Aguasvivas Hoepelman.
He also noted that the university remains committed to building effective bridges between its graduates and the business sectors that drive the Dominican Republic’s economic development.

During the meeting, the Alumni Coordinator, José Báez, presented the new ways to get involved in the Alumni Network, including the roles of mentors and academic advisors.
Báez explained that this initiative will allow experienced professionals to share their knowledge, mentor graduating students, and help them transition into the workforce through the exchange of practical experiences and professional guidance.
As part of this outreach strategy, the updated version of the UNIEMPLEO platform (uniempleo.unicaribe.edu.do), a smart job board designed to quickly connect the university community with job opportunities and internships in high-growth sectors, including finance, tourism, technology, industry, and global services.
The event concluded with a networking session that brought together academic leaders, representatives from the business sector, and future professionals, reaffirming the university’s commitment to human talent development and national progress. With this initiative, UNICARIBE continues to strengthen its ecosystem of employability and professional support, in line with its institutional motto: “Ut semes ita metes” (As you sow, so shall you reap).
