Dr. Emilio Mínguez, Rector of the University of the Caribbean (UNICARIBE), was honored with the Medal of the Spanish Nuclear Society during the gala dinner of the 2025 Annual Meeting, held in Cáceres on September 24-26.
The SNE Medal is a distinction that recognizes the continuous and extraordinary work of the candidate in favor of the Spanish Nuclear Society. It is awarded to those who have actively participated in its management bodies and who have contributed to the development of nuclear energy, as well as to the implementation of nuclear sciences and techniques, both inside and outside Spain.
Dr. Mínguez received this medal in recognition of his outstanding career, having been President of the European Nuclear Society, President of the SNE, professor of nuclear technology and, currently, Rector of the University of the Caribbean (UNICARIBE). His long career as a researcher in the nuclear field has also been fundamental to merit this prestigious award.
