In conjunction with the Association of Industrial Engineers of Madrid, the Polytechnic University of Madrid and the international firm Arthur D. Little, the University of the Caribbean (UNICARIBE), in the Dominican Republic, will co-organize the seventh edition of the Ibero-American Congress on Engineering and Technology (CIBITEC25). The event will be held on May 28-29, with simultaneous sessions in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, and Madrid, Spain.

CIBITEC is a highly prestigious conference that has been held since 2017, with the aim of promoting technological development, industrialization and digital transformation in Ibero-America. The congress acts as a connecting bridge between companies, universities and institutions in the region.

This year, the agenda will include key topics such as renewable hydrogen, the role of women in innovation and engineering, artificial intelligence, digital infrastructure, as well as critical raw materials and semiconductors.

The May 29 event will feature an on-site session at the UNICARIBE main campus in Santo Domingo from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Among the distinguished personalities who will participate are: Dr. Franklin García Fermín, Minister of Higher Education, Science and Technology; Dr. Emilio Mínguez, rector of UNICARIBE and president of the Association of Industrial Engineers of Madrid; and Dr. Odile Camilo Vincent, rector of UNIBE and president of ADRU. Also present will be the vice rectors of UNICARIBE: Dr. Rafael Núñez (Research) and Dr. Ricardo Ramírez (Strategy and Growth).
